Cororooke Online

Brought to you by the Red Rock District Progress Association and the sponsors below.

Did you know that the name is thought to be derived from the aboriginal name for the brolga?

Or that the first school was established in 1887 in Old Cororooke?

In 1911 it had a population of over 750, and later it had a railway station on the Alvie branch line from Colac.

All these facts and more can be found on the Victorian Places website.

In 2015, the milk factory closed and Fonterra donated some of its land to the community for a new open space to house tennis courts and a play space for children.

Discover the Cororooke Playspace website to link you with that is happening locally. To see the timeline along the path in the open space, look at this website.
